Three Nashville Predators players will participate in the NHL All-Star Game on home ice at the Bridgestone Arena later this month.
The Predators, the Florida Panthers and the Washington Capitals are the only three franchises with three representatives in the game, which will feature a new three-on-three format and involve teams from all four divisions.
Defensemen Roman Josi and Shea Weber, along with goaltender Pekka Rinne, will represent Nashville in the January 31 game.
Also triple handed are the Capitals, thanks to Metropolitan Division captain Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Braden Holtby, and the Panthers who have Aaron Ekblad, Roberto Luongo and Atlantic Division captain Jaromir Jagr, who will play in his 13th All-Star Game at the age of 43.
The Central Division will be led by Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, while Arizona's John Scott will captain the Pacific Division team after a fan vote.
