Alex Danson scored a hat-trick as Great Britain defeated New Zealand 4-3 to finish fifth in the Women's Hockey Champions Trophy 2016.
The hosts finished the competition, staged in London, on a high with their best performance of the tournament and Danson got them off to a flying start with the opening goal after 10 minutes when she fired home a backhand effort following an excellent pass from Lily Owsley.
Anita McLaren equalised for the Black Sticks but Owsley restored Great Britain's lead before half-time and Danson netted her second of the match just after the break.
Olivia Merry and Kelsey Smith scored to bring New Zealand level again at 3-3 but a lovely lofted finish from Danson saw her complete her hat-trick in style and win it for the hosts.
