Chris and Gabby Adcock defeated Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Greysia Polii to book their place in the mixed double quarter-finals at the All England Open Championships.
The English husband-and-wife team took just 33 minutes to seal a 21-12 21-18 win over the Indonesian qualifiers, but must next face Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir, the three-time defending champions.
After a sluggish start, the Adcocks trailed 5-2, but they picked up the next eight successive points to seize control of the match.
Chris Adcock is hoping to thwart the Indonesian duo as they bid for a fourth straight title in Birmingham.
"It will be a tough challenge against them but we're in great form," he said. "We know they are a world-class pair, but we have the tools to beat them.
"We were always aiming for this quarter-final spot and we're really pleased to get this potential banana skin out of the way."
